Data We Do Not Collect

Garden Mentor does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information with third parties. No analytics, advertising identifiers, or tracking is performed.

iCloud Sync

Your garden data — including plants, tasks, settings, and garden sections — is stored on your device and optionally synced across your Apple devices via iCloud. iCloud sync is managed entirely by Apple and governed by Apple's privacy policy. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Camera & Photos

The app can use your camera and photo library to add photos of your plants to your garden records. Saved plant photos are stored with your garden data and synced via your private iCloud. Where plant identification is available, photos are analysed on-device using Apple's Visual Look Up and are not sent to any external server or kept beyond your current session.

Weather Data

If you set a garden location, Garden Mentor can use Apple's WeatherKit service to show current weather conditions for it. Weather data is provided by Apple and is subject to Apple's WeatherKit terms and privacy policy. Your garden's coordinates are sent to Apple's WeatherKit service only to retrieve local weather; they are not stored by the app developer or shared with any other party.

Location

Garden Mentor does not access your device's GPS or location services. Your garden location is set manually by searching for a town or city name. The resulting coordinates are stored in iCloud and used only to fetch weather data via WeatherKit.
